Yesterday I wrote briefly about financing for retrofit projects, presenting one point of access for capital, an innovative municipal government program. Today I will present a second option, which is a lease program offered by a private company on a for-profit basis. This concept is relatively unique, as leasing of lighting has rarely been done in the past as the lamps/bulbs were low value and considered a consumable.
Their presentation and discussion provides much greater detail on how they value the project and calculate the lease financing. As well, it show the value proposition of the lease in relation to the savings in electricity costs.
